Time to Take a Deep Breath – Part Three

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord” (I Cor. 15:57-58).

Hey Gang:  Yesterday, when I completed part two and placed the period at the end, I thought it was time to move on to one of the other subjects lying in the stack of paper on my desk; but how many know the best laid plans of mice and men have a tendency to go by the boards.

I know all of the folks who are receiving the blog on Gmail, but in most cases do not have a clue who those who reads them up on the blog, except those who have signed in.  I would like to know who you are so as to place you in my prayer journal by name rather than a group.  I tend to think that maybe some are younger-type folks who are raising families, and, having been in the child and family business for four plus decades, my ears ten to perk up when I run into something that you with children need to know.      

       

Such is the case this morning.  Once again I turn to the real pro in the field of protecting the religious rights of all, no matter what you believe and how you worship your god.  In his most recent communique with his prayer warriors Jay Sekulov of ACLJ told of two of his most recent victories.

He title the first One Nation Under Allah?   He began by alerting his readers there is a nationwide epidemic that has moved from creeper gear to passing gear and is sweeping across our nation: namely, Islamic indoctrination. This has penetrated text books and many public schools across America. 

Students in Tennessee were made to recite the Five Pillars of Islam – the Islamic conversion creed – while not allowed any learning about Christianity or Judaism.  At least one school, where Islam was covered for several weeks and the lesson on Christianity was skipped, required students to write, “Allah is the only God and Mahammed is his prophet”. 

Jay wrote, it is our goal to put a stop to any unconstitutional Islamic indoctrination by public school districts.

The ACLJ sent “open records” request to every school district in Tennessee to uncover the truth about what students are learning.  School district attorneys tried to stall compliance based on the “citizenship” of the ACLJ.  The State of Tennessee Office of Open Records Counsel addressed the matter and ordered that the requested documents be made accessible to our attorney.

This is a victory!  This decision underscores what we’ve known all along our open records request are valid.  But this is far from over. 

Incredibly, Islam continues to be taught in schools while students are being denied the right to bring their Bibles to school and speak about Christianity.  Simply put, schools may not promote Islam while silencing Christianity.

The Second is titled “High School Student Prevails 

Religious liberty students come in all shapes and sized.  At the ACLJ, we celebrate each and every one of them as we should also.  A 10^th grade student in Bowie, Maryland, turn in a form to satisfy her school’s community service requirement.  She had performed her community service hours at a local nursing home, helping with church services and picnics for the residents there. She was surprised when a school employee returned her form, informing her that the school would not accept hours; they were classified as “missionary work” and were not done for the benefit of the general community.

The student and her mother contacted the ACLJ.  We advised the school that civic services, even if performed through a church, are considered community service.  Students may not be discriminated against simply because the services were provided through a church.

We recommended the student describe in detail the kind of services she provided at the nursing home.  Reinforced by this advice, the student resubmitted her form to the school.  The school accepted the hours as fulfillment of the community service requirements.

Now listen up my friends, especially those of you who have young folks in school, know what they are teaching in your schools and be prepared to challenge them, if they are trying to brain wash your child into doctrines, belief’s  and other teaching that are contrary to your beliefs.

Do not allow one blade of grass to grow under your feet.

Food For Some Very Important Thought -Con’t

“Then they will see The Son of Man coming in the clouds with power and great glory.  But when these things begin to take place, look up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”  (Luke 21`:27-28).

Hey Gang:  I checked the William Koenig report for the past week to see if there was anything new pertaining to the coming of the rapid ending of this earth as we know it today.  The item that caught my eye immediately, he titled, July 14, the day ‘all hell’ began to break loose in the Middle East. 

If you have watched world events since July 14, when P5+1 made the decision to speed up the end of the world by giving Iran everything they wanted plus all they can take, as they cause havoc in ever increasing places in the world.  Ladies and gentlemen-

I try to keep my personal biases and opinions out of these epistles but feel the need to share one this morning.  It is said that poor Obama continues to make great and horrendous decisions because of this or that, or lacking in understanding.  I do not believe those assessments for one second – he knows precisely what he is doing and he is right on track in doing it.  I will put, adding meat to this statement at a later date, when the picture becomes even more clear.  So, friends and neighbors, Prophecies ares becoming very clear very rapidly.

Getting back to my previous blog on Food For Thought, there is no question the increase in technology is a large factor in preparing the way for the final days.  We are told that the whole world will see the two witnesses, sent by God, and are killed and lay in the streets of Jerusalem for three days.  All world will watch as they rise again and ascend into the heavenlies (Rev. 11).  No one had the remotest idea of what this prophecy was saying until the mid 1960’s.

Things such as the internet and satellites have opened many doors to help us understand prophecies we never understood before. (Also give new means of causing havoc.)

Daniel 12:4 provided a prophecy that we have become dependent on, in our modern days; he wrote that knowledge and travel would grow.  When I was a child milk was delivered by a horse drawn milk- wagon and ice blocks were a common commodity for ice boxes on the back porch. Perhaps that is why I enjoy going into Amish country and just finding a shady spot on the bench and watching the Amish carts go by. 

One has to be totally blind to not see the rapid growth of armament, new killing devices, and the preparations that are being made by nearly every Nation on the earth in preparation of that final battle called Armageddon.  Many would argue that the Nations have been in a perpetual mode of preparations for war, but there is a significant difference today. 

Not only do we have the power to annihilate life on planet earth many times over, but we also have leaders who have the will to do so.  A core belief of the Muslim faith is they are waiting for Madhi 12 to return, much in the same way Christians are looking for Christ to return.  But the Madhi requires total confusion in the world, first, and many are doing all in their power to cause confusion.

There are many other signs and wonders coming rapidly into view, but far too many to list in an epistle of this size; but I would be remiss if I did not once again repeat the warning given by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse, “See to it that no one misleads you.  For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many” (Matt. 24:4-5).  Paul added to this warning when he wrote, “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction” (2 Thess. 2:3).  

There is no question that apostasy has been unleashed in these last days.  If, twenty years ago, I would have said churches would be ordaining homosexuals and performing homosexual marriages, you have called me a lunatic.  Yet, not only is it happening today in many churches, but is being glorified by growing numbers of so called Christians who believe they are in good standing.

But, keep in mind Matthews words “But many who are first will be last; and the last, first” (Matt. (19:30).

So, my friends there is so much more than needs to be said, but these epistles do lent to long dialog’s and that is really not my style anyway.  I close this two-day subject on Food for Thought with a suggestion that has worked well for me over the years:  Periodically I do a gut check on the signs of the times and look at them in an objective manner.  The Jews determines that one is a prophet if all he claims in his prophecies come true.  It is not only a good exercise for the soul, but a faith builder and gives you the ammunition to do hand to hand combat with the evil one. 

One More thing – always balance your interest in prophecy with the ‘Red” – Jesus words and other Scripture.

Food For Some Very Serious Thought

“And the word of the Lord came to me saying, Son of Man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, And prophesy against him and say, “ Behold…. I turn  you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all of your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding shields”  (Ezek. 38:1-4).

Hey Gang:  Have you taken an hour or two and a hard look at what is happening in our nation and in our world TODAY?  Have you taken Jesus’ words to heart when He said, “When all of these things – things -  all of the prophetic signs and wonders I have given you in the Word so that you will not be confused  when these things come into view -  don’t get all panicky but “Look up for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).   

Notice the words prior to this awesome promise: “They will see The Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory”.   And Luke goes on and gives us a profound statement for those who are alive in this generation, “truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all thigs take place” (vs. 32). 

Do you hear what He is saying,? “Be on guard, don’t let your heart be bogged down with the worries of life, “But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Vs. 34/36).

And just what signs and wonders are given to us as wake-up calls by Jesus?  The apostles and the prophets of old all agreed that Israel would become a place of mild and honey for God’s Chosen People.  Israel rebirth is the most profound thing that is happening and has happened in my life time; it was foretold by Jesus in the prophecy of the “fig Tree” as recorded in Matthew 24:32-35.

Psalm 83:2-8 tells us of the coming conflict with the sons of Ishmael and Esau- and one has to be in a deepest desert or jungle to not know that the Middle East is a tender box awaiting some foot to light the fuse. (This was written before yesterday’s attacks in France and those being reported today!)

There has been the miraculous restoration of the Hebrew language, as God predicted through Zephaniah (3:10) where He promised the ancient language of the Hebrew as the living and spoken language of Israel. 

Another seemingly impossible prophecy that has been fulfilled in my lifetime is the return of the Ethiopian Jews to the land of Israel after 3000 years of isolation from the land of Israel.  (Zeph. 3:10).

Isaiah 27:6 stated that not only will the Jews recover the homeland, restore there lost language, but also Isaiah tells us they will restore the land.  It has been my privilege in my more than ten trips Israel to get nmy hands dirty in the soil and see the desert begin to "blossom like a rose' (Isaiah 35:1).

One of the more volatile prophecies of the day is the growing fervor of the Israeli people, religious and non-religious, to take back the Temple Mount and rebuild the Temple.  (Is. 2:2). 

Exodus 30:24-26 gives specifics about the oil of anointing that is required to bless/sanctify the Temple.  An impossible task today because one of the elements of the oil is no long found on earth.  But, in the archeological dig near the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, about ten years ago, they also found a large flask of anointing oil.   

Ezekiel 44:16-17 tell us the sacred vessels and linen robes will be prepared for us in the Temple in the Millennium.  It has been our privilege to visit the Temple Institute, recently moved from their long-time home to larger quarters because of the rapid development of the items needed in Temple Worship, and see the priest garments. Silver Trumpets and other things.

I fear this will turn into a very long dissertation, for the Word of God is filled with prophecies that are coming into focus daily.  But let me close for today and pick this up Tuesday.  I learned in the early years of working with young folks, and older ones as well, that the most effective tools for getting the attention of those who have no knowledge of God’s Word is to sit them down and read a prophecy written thousands of years ago and show them the headlines of the paper where it was fulfilled.  

When you read these many prophecies, pertaining to the restoration of Israel after thousands of years, and show them the map of Israel today, it tends to drive the point home that the Bible is the infallible Word of God.

Russian position in Syria moves closer to US

The Kremlin confirmed this week that it's military forces in Syria have begun to coordinate with forces battling the Assad regime in order to target the Islamic State (IS) terror militia, amidst other signs that cooperation between Russia, the US and Saudi Arabia on efforts against IS in Syria are increasing. In related news, US security officials said on Wednesday that Russia now has over 4,000 military personnel in Syria and has also deployed heavy artillery and long-range rockets. But its efforts, combined with a large ground offensive by Assad regime forces supported by Iranian and Hezbollah commandos, which has resulted in heavy casualties on all sides, have not resulted in significant territorial gains. Meanwhile, reports have emerged of growing anger among Hezbollah supporters in Lebanon over the high number of causalities and even a mutiny among Iranian forces who have begun to refuse orders to fight in Syria.

The European Stage Is Set for Antichrist

Hey Gang:   There has been much rhetoric coming across my computer pertaining to one world government.  It is thought by many that the recent secret meetings involving our President and the Pope included discussions on how to move the world toward this prophesied goal.  I have included one such article in this epistle because one does not have to be super brain to see the truth of Alan Franklin’s words in living color at this very hour.

Europe is being prepared for a One Continent Government with one leader, Antichrist. The second most important prophetic development of the last century, after the rebirth of Israel, came the creation of the European Union, which in major ways already runs its 28 nation states as one country.

The continent is in turmoil. The nations of the European Union, 28 countries from the United Kingdom to the Baltics, are facing an influx of immigrant’s unseen since the end of the Second World War. Hundreds were filmed attacking Hungarian border guards while screaming “Allahu akbar” which in Arabic means “god is great.”

I write “god” with a lower case “g.” The key point, for those looking at the spiritual dimension of this invasion, is that we do NOT all worship the same god. We detail this in our book

 Cults and Isms: True or False? which is stocked in our Web shop. We would like to see a copy on every believer’s bookshelf, a way to quickly discern the difference between true and false faith.

Most of the current immigrants are Islamic, with up to 90 per cent being men aged around 25 to 35. So are they mainly coming to Europe to work, when Europe already has an average of eleven percent of its workforce unemployed? Further, there is over 20 percent unemployment of those under 25 across the EU.

If the immigrants were really being attacked by terrorists, would they not wish to stay and defend their wives and children? When Hitler threatened to invade England, the men dug in and were ready to defend every inch of British soil; they did not run away.

Couple this unwanted influx with major financial and political problems and you have the calls for drastic action – and the entry of a commanding figure to lead the Continent out of its crisis. However, he will NOT be Islamic, despite the false prophetic interpretations being spread by those who misunderstand the book of Daniel.

It looks like a tale of woe and is certainly not good news. However, the real good news is that when we see these things happening, the end times turmoil, we are to look up, for our redemption draweth nigh!

As the world hurtles headlong into the ultimate crisis, understand that all of this was predicted and it indicates the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ. So be encouraged! The right understanding of prophetic events leads to the conclusion drawn by a dear old friend of ours who said this to me and my wife: “Alan and Pat, all these things mean our Lord will soon be back to rule and reign from Jerusalem.” So we should adopt her attitude and pray: “Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus.”
